What to expect
The Process
Upon initial contact, I will confirm your requirements and location. If your needs are straightforward, I will propose suitable dates and times for me to perform the work.
Additionally, I will clarify the cost structure and address any questions you may have.
To ensure I bring the appropriate tools and materials, I may request images related to the work required. This will also help save time during my visit.
Upon arrival, if further discussion is needed, we can review the details comprehensively. If necessary, I will provide a revised plan for the work.
In cases where multiple visits are required, such as when new measurements must be taken for a lock installation, I will inform you in advance.
The known, unknown
Unexpected factors can arise regardless of experience. If an issue arises that impacts the timeline or cost of fulfilling your requirements, I will inform you immediately.
Any changes will be mutually agreed upon before proceeding with any additional work.
Safety
If I determine that an action may cause damage to property or pose a potential danger, such as hanging large heavy items on thin plasterboard, or if electrical cables or pipes are detected in the walls, I will explain this issue and propose appropriate alternatives.
Transparency

As an independent tradesperson, I chose the jobs I take on based on various factors. Mainly related to doing the right thing for the customer. If I feel that, for any reason, your job is not for me, I will tell you.
I believe this is better than not responding, disproportionate costing or taking on a job that an alternative tradesperson can do better.
